Cook County Court Grants Summary Judgment to General Contractor

Mike Sanders obtained summary judgment for a general contractor in a construction negligence case. The Cook County court found that the general contractor did not retain sufficient control over the means and methods of the plaintiff's work to give rise to liability under Section 414 of the Restatement (Second) of Torts. The court therefore granted P&W's motion for summary judgment and dismissed the case with prejudice.
