Brad Purcell successfully defended a gas station owner and operator at the trial of a suit alleging that the plaintiff had slipped and fallen in snow and ice on the defendant's premises. P&W argued that the natural accumulation of snow and ice on the defendants' premises was open and obvious and did not pose an unreasonable risk of harm to the plaintiff. At the close of the one-week trial, Plaintiff requested over $1.45 million in damages. However, after less than an hour of deliberations, the jury returned a verdict in favor of the defendants.
