P&W Obtains Favorable Settlements in High-Exposure Cases

P&W was called on the Friday before a Monday trial to defend a trucking company and driver that were involved in a catastrophic collision. The plaintiff sustained serious physical and cognitive injuries that required a life care plan nearing $10 million. The case was favorably resolved after four days of trial.

P&W is frequently called upon by excess insurers not only to try, but also to “fix” cases on the eve of trial. Recently, we were able to work out a complex arrangement between multiple construction defendants and their insurers to achieve an excellent result in a case involving a construction site fatality.
