Michelle A. Miner practices in the areas of insurance coverage and complex litigation. Her insurance coverage work includes interpretation and litigation surrounding commercial general liability policies, professional liability policies, and excess policies. She advises excess insurance carries in complex coverage matters on issues of tender, priority of coverage, subrogation, and resolution.

Her complex litigation work includes a wide range of matters and concentrates in construction litigation, premises liability, and transportation negligence. Michelle represents clients in all stages of litigation, and drives successful, cost-effective resolutions by aggressively developing her clients' defense strategies from day one.


  • Represented and defended global third-party logistics provider in personal injury and wrongful death actions based on theories of agency and negligent hiring.
  • Represented and defended elevator maintenance companies and premises owners in litigation for personal injuries and wrongful death. Obtained numerous favorable settlements in these matters through alternative dispute resolution, including a favorable award in binding mediation that was one-half of the last settlement offer. Obtained judgment of over $17 million dollars for clients following a federal jury trial on claims arising from the transfer of real estate in violation of a secured collateral agreement.
  • Successfully opposed motion to certify class and obtained dismissal of named plaintiff's individual claims for false advertising on behalf of client that manufactured, marketed, and sold packaged food products.
